Frosty Gives Back, our annual holiday charity gala, turns 10 this year. What is Frosty Gives Back?
Frosty Gives Back is Landy Frost Group’s annual holiday gala supporting Austin’s underserved youth. My business partner and LFG co-founder, Mike Frost, created it in 2017, and our team has put it on every year since.
It is a dressed-up, feel-good Austin holiday charity event: cocktail attire, an open bar, passed appetizers, a dessert bar, a live band, roaming entertainers, silent and live auctions, photos with Santa and custom Christmas ornaments. It is 21 and up, and it is one of our favorite nights of the year.
The 10-year story
The first Frosty Gives Back was in 2017, and The Nightowls played that night. Nearly a decade later, the gala has raised more than $700,000 for youth-focused Austin nonprofits, including LifeWorks, Explore Austin, The HOPE Gallery and Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas.
Last year was a big one. Guests raised more than $170,000 in 2025, with more than $90,000 of that coming from the auctions and more than 100 donated items. Along the way, the stage has hosted DJ Jazzy Jeff, Tchami, A-Trak and PDA Band, who headlined our 9th annual gala.
For year 10, we are bringing it home. The Nightowls, the Austin-based 10-piece soul band that played our very first Frosty Gives Back, are back to headline. Our goal for 2026 is to pass $1,000,000 raised in total.
Where the money goes: LifeWorks
This year’s beneficiary is LifeWorks. For over 25 years, LifeWorks has worked to solve youth homelessness through housing, mental health, education and workforce services. According to the gala site, LifeWorks serves 2,500+ youth and young families each year, ages 16 to 26, across more than a dozen programs, and 100% of Frosty Gives Back proceeds are donated.
As real estate people, we think about home all day. For kids, home should be a place to feel safe, learn and grow. Every Frosty Gives Back partnership is built around giving young people that sense of home, whether through shelter and stability or through mentorship, adventure and art. How to get tickets
Tickets are sold through the official event site, frostygivesback.com. Your ticket includes the open bar, passed appetizers, a dessert bar, live entertainment, the silent and live auctions and photos with Santa. The event site notes that it sells out every year, so if you are planning to come, grab your tickets early.
You can also preview the silent auction online now. There are 100+ items, from luxury trips to signed memorabilia, and you can bid from your phone once the auction opens. You do not need to be at the event to bid on the silent auction.
Sponsor or donate
If your business wants to be in the room with 350+ of Austin’s business and community leaders while supporting youth in need, sponsorship is the way to do it. Packages include Title ($25K), Platinum ($10K) and Gold ($7.5K), plus additional tiers. Every package includes your company name and logo alongside the event name, inclusion across print, digital, PR and marketing materials, logo placement on the step-and-repeat and on-stage recognition. Not a sponsor? There are other ways to help:
- Donate. You can give to LifeWorks through the event site even if you cannot attend.
- Donate an auction item. Trips, experiences, restaurant gift cards, spa packages, signed memorabilia, artwork and more all help. Every dollar from the auctions goes to our nonprofit partner.
- Bid from home. The silent auction is open to bidders who are not in the room.
